The Story of Love
The ingredients in this stupendously wonderful formula (I'm slightly prejudiced) come to us through the heart and soul of George B, a beloved Native American Healer, and musician. George brought me this list of essential oils and absolutes: Bulgarian Rose, Egyptian Jasmine, Sandalwood, Clary Sage and Ylang Ylang. He asked me to "use my guidance" to make a formula with those oils, for him to use with a client he was working with who had been emotionally and psychologically abused.

Working with these oils is always a sublime pleasure, putting them together was profoundly moving. Basically all I had to do was to discern how much of each to use. It's not about math or calculations.  I spread the open bottles out in a row on the table, smelling them all. Feeling their position of prominence, I added them; closed the cap tightly, gently shook the bottle back and forth, reopened the cap and voila! When I smelled the captivating, beautifully profound scent I said to myself, "Oh my God, this smells like Love", and so named the formula.

I didn't know at the time, that George's client was a man. Initially this blend may seem feminine, but we all can identify with some sort of heartache in our lives. Personally, I've used the pure oil of this formula many, many times. I put a few drops over the lymph nodes at my groin, especially if I'm feeling sad, or doubting my confidence as a woman.

For example, I was seeing a musician for a few years, and sometimes we were in the company of a certain type of woman.  If I put the Love on my lymph nodes before I went out, I did not feel threatened or jealous.

All the oils from George's list effect the emotions and heart in numerous ways, too many to completely list, so here's a short version.
  • Rose, enchanting symbol of love, awakens and inspires the emotional heart, and strengthens the physical heart. Eases sadness, may help to appease envy or anger.
  • Jasmine, an opening aphrodisiac, warming and optimistic, eases emotional constriction, and helps to integrate sensuality, sexuality and spirituality.
  • Sandalwood, profound sacred oil of India, noble aphrodisiac for men, but sexually restorative for both sexes, boosts confidence and inner strength and eases fear and stress.
  • Clary Sage, brings balance the mind and emotions, eases mental and emotional constriction, facilitating a wider more relaxed perspective of life. Together, the oils of love, open the heart to giving and receiving love, to others and especially one's self. Profoundly calming, and centering, Love facilitates acceptance.
